Dr. Terrell is an experimental psychologist specializing in the study of eyewitness memory and eyewitness identification. His research explores factors that impact the reliability of eyewitness identifications from photospreads. He is up-to-date on all aspects of the eyewitness memory field, including photo lineups, show-ups, field identifications, delayed outcry cases, and any type of criminal case in which eyewitness memory is a factor.
Since 2010, Dr. Terrell has testified in over 40 criminal cases and consulted in over 150, ranging from burglary to capital murder. He has also taught CLEs for the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National District Attorneys Association in Houston, the Center for American and International Law in Plano, TX, and for several online CLE companies such as LawLine and MyLaw CLE.
